PARADE at the Fairport Harbor Mardi Gras

HOW TO BE IN THE PARADE

GREETINGS FROM FAIRPORT HARBOR!
It's time again to start preparing for our annual Mardi Gras Parade.

On behalf of the entire Mardi Gras Parade Committee, we would like to thank everyone who participated in last year's parade and made it so successful. This year's parade will be held on Wednesday, June 30th at 7:00pm. Our theme will be "The Fairport Harbor Mardi Gras Salutes the Armed Forces". (Dates for next year's parade will be announced.)

PARADE ROUTE

The Mardi Gras Parade route begins at the corner of Third and East Streets and proceeds to Vine Street where it turns South all the way down Vine Street until Seventh Street where it turns West until reaching Eagle Street and continues on Eagle Street until it reaches the Fairport Village Hall (where some of the judges will be - others will be placed throughout the parade route). The parade then ends at the corner of Second Street and Eagle Street. The parade usually ends at approx 8:30 pm.
Please help us provide a safe parade for all. If your group plans to pass out candy or other items, we ask you to provide "walkers" along the edges of the street to hand out the candy, etc. Absolutely NO candy or other objects are to be thrown from a vehicle in the parade.
We are looking forward to having you participate in this year's parade and helping us to make it a safe and enjoyable parade for everyone.
